David Beckham's PSG full debut ends in victory

Paris Saint-Germain defeated Olympique Marseille 2-0 in their last-16 French Cup match at Paris's Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

David Beckham was deployed in a deep-lying central role, but was overshadowed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic who scored both goals. At 37 years and nine months, David Beckham is the oldest outfield player to feature in Ligue 1 since Claude Makelele (38 years old and three months) in May 2011, also at PSG.

PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti said of Beckham: "He made a very good performance. He made good passes as usual, he was well positioned on the pitch alongside Blaise Matuidi. He was very solid."
