Beckham didn't die in a car crash, and the false death reports about the soccer star have angered his fans.

In another prank from a hoax tabloid "Global Associated News" on Wednesday, the soccer star died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. The site stated that paramedics pronounced Beckham dead at the scene.

"Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that David Beckham lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly," the site reported.

Fans then turned to Twitter to see if reliable news sources were reporting this accident. But they couldn't find any.

Neil Warnock Doesn't Rule Out Becks Move

Neil Warnock played down the Beckham rumours during his Thursday press conference but did not rule anything out.

"I mean obviously it is good news for you lads I suppose," Warnock said. "Nothing much surprises me at the club but it's not something we've talked about, not myself anyhow."

"We can't sign him anyhow, we can't sign anybody else now until January so why worry? I think he is a fabulous professional. I think he has been a great asset to English football, I like him as a person but ask me in January."

He thinks Twitter is stupid and joked that he could not stop Fernandes from using the social network site.

"He owns the club. You tell him off! I just think it is modern ways really. It is the same with the players really.

"I know one or two of the players do a lot of it and it helps you lads find stories, it helps the journalists a lot. You can't knock it all the time.

"As long as it does not bring the club into disrepute, I am not bothered."
