Trinidad and Tobago 0 England 3

There were 23,000 fans packed into the Hasely Crawford Stadium hours before kick-off, hoping the Soca Warriors could add further insult to England’s injury of missing out on the Euro 2008 finals.

But the outcome was never in doubt, as England cruised it.

Dwight Yorke came on during the last minutes of the second half with only 14 minutes to go. The crowd kept booing Peter Crouch every time he touched the ball and the Carib girls kept dancing.

The first goal came as Stewart Downing freed Wayne Bridge down the left flank and teed up Gareth Barry who score from close range. It was Barry's first goal for England.

According to BBC commentator the second goal was "Too easy." Stewart Downing released Jermain Defoe, who had time to pick his spot in the far corner and score.

Nonetheless, the third goal came from a cross by David Bentley as the ball was headed back across goal for Jermain Defoe to score from six yards out.
